Can I walk the 2021 Steps n’ Salutes Green Beret 5K?
Yes, the event is walker friendly. Walkers and runners of all ability levels are encouraged to participate.
Are baby joggers and strollers allowed in the Steps n’ Salutes Green Beret 5K?
Yes, baby joggers and strollers are allowed for the Steps n’ Salutes Green Beret 5K. It is asked that joggers and strollers begin at the back of the race behind the runners.
When and Where is Packet Pick-Up?
Packet pickup is available at the following times and places:
Friday, September 10: 2:00 PM – 5 PM – Jack Rabbit Loveland – 127 W. Loveland Avenue, Loveland, OH
Saturday, September 11: 8:00 AM – 9:15 AM – Nisbet Park, Loveland, OH
Can a friend or family member pick up my race packet for me?
Yes – Someone may pick up your packet at either packet pickup location.
May I switch my registration to another person?
Yes, that can be done at packet pickup.
What is the cancellation policy?
The Race Director and Loveland Police have the authority to cancel or delay the event for any reason such as extreme weather, accidents, city emergency, etc. No refunds or deferrals are allowed.

What is the time limit for the course?
There is no time limit for the Steps ‘n Salutes Green Beret 5K. The race will start promptly at 9:30 AM.
Who receives a finisher’s medal?
Every individual who crosses the finish line will receive a finisher’s medal.
Does the money from this event benefit a special cause?
Yes, the Steps ‘n Salutes Green Beret 5K is a charity event benefitting the Green Beret Foundation.
The Green Beret Foundation is a national veteran charity and the only organization with the specific mission to fill any gaps in the Green Beret and their family’s lives during and after deployment. The Green Beret Foundation invests 87 cents of every dollar into its five core programs that provide emergent, immediate, and ongoing support to cover the costs of tools, resources, and healthcare not provided by the Department of Defense or Veterans Affairs.
Can I make a donation to the Green Beret Foundation?
Yes – Donations can be made in several ways.
Donate through the registration sites for the Steps ‘n Salutes Green Beret 5K, the Great American Relay, or the Fair on the Square Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K. These donations can be made with or without registering for the events.

Can I walk the 2021 VIRTUAL Steps n’ Salutes Green Beret 5K?
Yes, the event is walker-friendly. Walkers and runners of all ability levels are encouraged to participate.

Yes, baby joggers and strollers are allowed for the Steps n’ Salutes Green Beret 5K.
How and when can I get my 2021 VIRTUAL Steps n’ Salutes Green Beret 5K commemorative shirt?
Shirts may be picked up by registered participants beginning Saturday, September 11, 2021, during store hours at the following locations:
Jack Rabbit Loveland – 127 West Loveland Avenue, Loveland, OH
INDIANAPOLIS LOCATION – TBD
Shirts will be mailed beginning Saturday, October 23, 2021, to those participants who have selected the MAIL SHIRT option at the time of their registration. There is an additional $5.00 shipping charge to have the shirts mailed to participants.
